As IBM’s Global Business Services Chief Market Maker and member of the Global Operating Team and General Executive Committee, Sanjay works closely with C-suite leaders to provide thought leadership and guidance for strategic enterprise wide Digital Reinvention programs. With a depth of knowledge leading complex transformations, business units and executive leadership assignments across the globe, Sanjay holds the exclusive role of Market Maker within IBM. Sanjay’s C-suite strategic guidance provides a holistic view; balancing business needs with current and emerging technology, to enable enterprise reinvention, while creating a competitive advantage and improved financial performance.

As an emerging technology leader, Sanjay’s holds the chairmanship at the Blockchain Research Institute Advisory Board; is a member of the Dean’s advisory board for the World class Business program at Schulich School of Business; is the president of the France Canada Chamber of Commerce; and architected the MIT sponsored annual round table services on the impact of emerging technology across industries for European CEOs. Under his guidance, IBM teams enrich major platform capabilities with cognitive, AI, automation and cloud solutions to provide competitive advantage to industry leading global companies.

Prior to joining IBM, Sanjay was the CEO and Chairman of the Country Board for Capgemini Canada. Under his leadership, he instituted a Digital First strategy, opened a fullservice innovation center; championed AI enabled automation programming and built ecosystem relationships with innovation leaders such as MaRS Discovery District, Blockchain Research Institute and Vector Institute of AI. Sanjay joined Capgemini through their merger with iGATE, where he held the position of Head of America and Global Group ExCo managing business across US, Canada and Latin America. Rounding out his executive leadership roles, prior to iGate, Sanjay was a Managing Partner in Accenture’s NA Financial Services practice and lead the introduction of Accenture’s Financial Services Consulting and Technology practice in India.

As an active supporter of both employee diversity and trade relations with India, Sanjay has been recognized by Canada’s PM Justin Trudeau, past PM Stephen Harper, Toronto Mayor John Tory, as well as being honored as the “corporate man of the year” by the Indo-Canadian Chamber of Commerce.

Sanjay holds an MBA from London University Strayer College, and Leadership Development training form he Booth School of Management.
