Condensing Boiler
Program offers a financial incentive to commercial and institutional customers for the purchase or rental of a condensing boiler with an efficiency rating of 90% or better.

Feasibility Study
Program offers a financial assistance to cover a portion of the cost of having a feasibility study carried out to define measures that will improve the energy efficiency of an existing or new building.
Funding Available – Incentive of $2,000.
Indoor/Outdoor Boiler Control Program
Program offers commercial customers financial assistance for the purchase and installation of an indoor/outdoor boiler controller, which enables keeping the desired temperature inside a building and achieve substantial energy savings.
Funding Available – Incentive of $250.
Infrared Heaters
Program offers financial assistance to commercial and institutional customers for using natural gas infrared heaters.
Funding Available – Offers $100 in financial assistance for natural gas infrared heating units with a capacity of under 100,000 BTUs (British Thermal Units) and $250 for units with capacities equal to or greater than 100,000 BTUs.
Support for Initiatives – Energy Optimization of Buildings and Implementation Assistance
Program provides the opportunity to apply a wide range of energy-saving initiatives as two components.
Funding Available – This program consists of two funding components:
Energy Optimization component: supports measures involving the building envelope and mechanical systems (heating, air conditioning and ventilation). For the Efficient Envelope, Solar Wall, and Low-flow fixtures, Gazifère provides $0.50 per cubic metre of natural gas saved. For the other measures under this component, Gazifère provides $0.30 per cubic metre of natural gas saved. The financial support provided by Gazifère cannot exceed 40% of the cost of the measure or $20,000.
Implementation Assistance component: supports the application of measures involving the use of natural gas in production processes and high-efficiency equipment not covered by existing programs (e.g. stoves and dryers). Under this component, Gazifère provides $0.30 per cubic metre of natural gas saved up to 40% of the cost of the measures or $10,000.
Variable Speed Hood & Condensing Tempered Air Generator Combo Program
Program provides commercial customers financial support for the purchase and installation of a variable speed hood and a variable speed condensing tempered air generator.
A variable speed hood can reduce your energy use by up to 35%.
Funding Available – Buy a variable speed hood and a variable speed condensing tempered air generator, and receive a rebate of $3,350 + $0.95/CFM (cubic feet per minute).

Novoclimat – Large Multi-Unit Buildings
Novoclimat is an initiative that allows Quebec builders to increase the energy efficiency of their commercial establishments by building to the Novoclimat technical standards.
This program applies to:
– buildings of over 600 m2 with up to 10 storeys and
– duplexes, triplexes and quadruplexes, as well as multiple-unit buildings of three or fewer storeys and 600 m2 and less, using electricity, natural gas, or residual forest biomass as the main energy source for heating.
Funding Available – It should be noted that the purchase of a condominium in a Novoclimat certified building does not entitle the owner to financial assistance, which is paid instead to the project’s promoter.
If you wish to take advantage of the 10% rebate offered by the CMHC on your insurance premium with the purchase of an energy-efficient home, ask the project’s promoter for a copy of the Novoclimat certificate.
Eligibility – The types of buildings eligible are private (condominiums or dwelling units) or social housing.
Novoclimat – Small Multiple-Unit Buildings
Program offers financial assistance to small multiple-unit buildings.
Funding Available – It should be noted that the purchase of a condominium in a Novoclimat certified building does not entitle the owner to financial assistance, which is paid instead to the project’s promoter.
If you wish to take advantage of the 15% rebate offered by the CMHC on your insurance premium with the purchase of an energy-efficient home, ask the project’s promoter for a copy of the Novoclimat certificate.
Eligibility – The Novoclimat Small Multiple-Unit Building program applies to duplexes, triplexes and quadruplexes as well as multiple-unit buildings of three or fewer storeys and 600 square meters and less.
The buildings must be built by a contractor who has obtained Novoclimat certification from the Bureau de normalisation du Québec (BNQ) and use as the main energy source for heating electricity, natural gas, or residual forest biomass.
The building must be newly built or undergoing major renovation and must offer energy performance that exceeds the norms in effect.
Rénoclimat
This energy renovation program for owners of some residence includes an energy audit conducted both before and after retrofit.
Funding Available – The program also offers access to financial assistance for carrying out insulation work; carrying out work affecting a home’s air tightness; and installing or replacing mechanical systems (ventilation system, water heater, ENERGY STAR® certified heat pump, geothermal heating system).
Financial assistance ranges from $50 for the installation of a central programmable electronic thermostat to $5,365 for the installation of a complete geothermal system in replacement of a main heating system using fuel oil.
Eligibility – For owners of single family, semi-detached or row houses.
ÉcoPerformance
EcoPerformance aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption of businesses by financing projects or measures related to energy consumption and production, as well as to process improvement.
Funding Available – As an extension of the EcoPerformance program until March 31, 2021, a new standard framework for the EcoPerformance program came into effect on January 31, 2018.
This includes:
– adjustment of one of the parameters of the financing rate to $ 40 / tCO2e instead of $ 50 / tCO2e for large consumers (if ISO 50001 certified, the rate will be increased to $ 50 / t)
Eligibility – EcoPerformance is available to businesses, institutions and municipalities that consume fossil fuels or use processes that generate fugitive GHG emissions, to enable them to take the next step in reducing this type of emissions. It is aimed at both small and large energy consumers.
As of September 1, 2018, the allowable coolant to the baseline for fugitive emissions projects (Implementation pane), is R-407A.
Hydro-Québec
Buildings Program
Program offers financial assistance to implement energy efficiency measures while carrying out projects in commercial or institutional buildings.The catered component offers assistance tailored to a business owner’s project, in order to improve the building’s overall energy efficiency.
Eligibility – The prescriptive component provides simple solutions tailored to buildings under 5,000 square meters to assist in implementing predefined measures.
Efficient Solutions Program
Program offers financial assistance to commercial and industrial customers to implement one of the many predefined energy efficiency measures under the Simplified Option.
Funding Available – It also provides financial assistance as well as general or technical support throughout a project in order to implement innovative energy efficiency measures under the Customized Option.
Eligibility – The measures you want to implement must be among the predefined measures. For more information about which measures are eligible, use the outil OSE designed for the Efficient Solutions Program.

Technology and Business Demonstration
Hydro-Québec offers support to test the technical and commercial viability of innovative energy-saving or power-demand optimization measures.
Funding Available – 50% of the total eligible costs of the project, up to $300,000.
Eligibility – Projects that meet the following criteria:
– New technology, new approach or new application of an existing technology
– Possibility to generate substantial energy savings or to significantly optimize power demand
– Potential to penetrate the Québec market
Electricity self-generation or generation projects are not eligible.
Note: Demonstration innovation projects approved for the Technology and Business Demonstration activity may not be submitted for another Hydro-Québec energy efficiency program.
Énergir
Condensing Boiler Grant
Program offers financial incentives towards the purchase of energy-efficient natural gas condensing boilers that help improve a building’s energy performance. Ideal for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) projects, condensing boilers reuse part of the available latent heat energy, which makes them highly energy efficient.
Funding Available – Program offers a grant ranging from $900 to $25,000 towards the purchase of a high-efficiency boiler and $750 to $10,000 for a mid-efficiency unit.
The total value of each grant is based on the selected unit’s capacity and is subject to certain conditions.

Energy-Efficient Renovations Grant
This program is aimed at encouraging renovations that will improve the thermal envelope of buildings to make them more energy efficient. It offers financial assistance for energy efficient work on the building envelope, such as: replacing the windows, insulating the walls, insulating the roof, sealing the building, installing thermal screens for greenhouses, etc.
Funding Available – Énergir will pay you financial assistance for the renovation of any building supplied with natural gas. The financial assistance is based on the energy savings generated. The amount of financial assistance awarded may not be higher than 50% of the investment costs.

Feasibility Studies Grant
This program helps defray part of the cost of a feasibility study covering energy efficiency measures. The study will be carried out by an engineering consulting firm accredited by Énergir.
Funding Available – Énergir financial assistance amounts to 50% of the cost of the study before taxes for a maximum amount based on the annual consumption volume of natural gas.

Grant for a Solar Air Preheating System
Program is offering a grant to encourage the purchase and installation of a solar air preheating system for space heating. By preheating the air supply to a ventilation system, significant savings can be achieved on the consumption of natural gas needed to heat the fresh air.
Funding Available – The grant accorded by Énergir under this program may reach up to $200,000. Énergir will pay a grant of $2 per cubic metre of natural gas saved toward the purchase and installation of a solar collector connected to a natural gas ventilation system.

Grant for a Unit Heater
Program is offering a grant to encourage the purchase and installation of a new natural gas unit heater, the ideal solution for areas with high ceilings or frequent air exchange and perfect for warehouses, loading docks and other large areas that need to be heated quickly.
Funding Available – Offered a grant of $1,700 per condensing unit heater offered by Énergir by installating high-efficiency appliances. The total value of the grant is subject to certain conditions.
Grant for an Infrared Heating System
Program offers a grant per infrared unit to encourage the installation of high-efficiency appliances. The total value of the grant is based on the selected unit’s capacity.
Funding Available – A grant of up to $500 per infrared unit.
Grant to Encourage Energy Innovation
Program offers a grant to encourage the development of new technologies or innovative use of existing technologies with promising energy efficiency potential.
Funding Available – The grant can cover up to 75% of the costs incurred by a project, up to a maximum of $25,000 for an experimental project, and up to $250,000 for a demonstration project.
Eligibility – The program targets all markets. Projects for customers in the Residential, Commercial, Institutional, Industrial and Transportation markets are eligible for the program.

High-Efficiency Water Heater Grant
Program offers grants towards the purchase of a condensing water heater.
Funding Available – Énergir offers a grant ranging from $750 to $20,000 on the purchase and installation of a condensing water heater. The total value of the grant is based on the selected unit’s capacity and is subject to certain conditions.
Implementation of Energy Efficiency Measures Grant
Program offers a grant to encourage companies to implement energy efficiency measures to optimize the use of natural gas and reduce energy consumption.
Funding Available – Énergir’s financial aid is $0.30 per cubic meter of natural gas saved for the first year following the implementation of an energy efficiency measure. The maximum amount of financial aid is $100,000 per account number serviced by natural gas.

Low-Income Household Supplement
Program offers supplementary financial assistance to low-income households who are owners of some residences.

– Low-income owners of a single-family home
– Owners of a duplex or triplex with one or more low-income tenants
– Owners of four or more units with low-income tenants, as well as NPOs housing cooperatives.

New Efficient Construction Grant
Program is aimed at encouraging the construction of energy efficient buildings that will reduce their operating expenses and increase their resale value.
Funding Available – Énergir will grant financial assistance of $1.50 per cubic metre of natural gas saved, up to a maximum of $275,000, for the construction of a new efficient building. In addition, Énergir covers up to $5,000 of the cost of an energy simulation for your new building.

Recommissionning Grants
Program aims to encourage the process of recommissioning existing mechanical systems in buildings in order to reduce annual energy consumption.
By participating in this program, you will reduce your annual energy consumption by 10% to 15%. You will be saving while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Funding Available – Up to $54,000 in grants; the financial assistance awarded by Énergir under the Recommissioning Program is divided into three parts:
– A fixed base part, between $10,000 and $25,000, calculated based on the bracket of annual natural gas consumption in which the building falls
– A variable part covering part of the costs of implementation and hand-off, with a limit of $25,000
– A final fixed part covering part of the costs for the annual monitoring required by the Program, with a limit of $4,000.

Supplement for Low-Income Household
This program offers supplementary financial assistance to owners of some residences.
The supplement is determined according to the energy efficiency program in which the owner is participating.

Eligibility – Those who are eligible meets one of the following criteria:
– Owners of multi-tenant buildings with four or more units, one or more of which are occupied by low-income households.
– The social and community sector, such as housing cooperatives and NPOs, as well as non-profit social and community organizations dedicated to helping low-income customers.
– Owners of a triplex, duplex, condo or single-family home can also participate in the residential version of the program
– The social and community sector as housing co-operatives and non-profit organizations that help low income clients are also eligible
