Program offers financial incentives to facilities looking to purchase highly efficient Infrared heaters. These heaters lower operating costs with reduced energy consumption.
Funding Available – INFRARED HEATER INCENTIVES for commercial or industrial new construction and existing buildings:
Customer Incentives:
– $300 per unit, Single Stage, ≤ 299 kBtu/hr
– $400 per unit, Two Stage, ≤ 299 kBtu/hr
Service Provider Incentive:
– $100 per unit (HVAC Contractors Only)
Eligibility – Equipment Eligibility:
– Incentive applies to units ≤ 299 kBtu/hr in new construction or when replacing conventional unit heaters only
Strategic Energy Management (SEM)
Program provides an incentive to customers for undertaking a long term energy monitoring and management program geared toward decreasing their energy consumption.
SEM will help to:
– Improve overall energy performance, with increasing efficiencies over several years
– Provide expertise and technical support to help identify appropriate energy use metrics, sub-metering requirements
– Assist in the development of a continuous energy management plan
– Provide actual process data and justify business case requirements for future capital investments
Funding Available –
STRATEGIC ENERGY MANAGEMENT INCENTIVES:
– Year 1:
– Up to $25,000 for sub-metering and Integrated Energy Management System (IEMS)
– Year 2:
– In-kind technical support (data analysis)
– Years 3-5:
– Financial incentives based on verified savings
– Year 3 savings from baseline ≥5% = $10,000
– Year 4 savings from baseline ≥10% = $15,000
– Year 5 savings from baseline ≥15% = $20,000
Note: Minimum of 5% savings from baseline is required to qualify for the financial incentive.
Eligibility – Eligible buildings must use at least 1,000,000 cube meters of natural gas a year, currently have no energy management system in place and have not previously participated in a Union Gas Integrated Energy Management System (IEMS) program.
