Explore the BLC 2021 program
The BLC 2021 program offers daily plenary sessions and programming across the Zero Carbon, Retrofits, Human Focus and Workforce development streams. Feature keynotes include:
Nobel Peace Prize nominee Sheila Watt-Cloutier. Renowned international speaker and respected Inuit leader, Ms. Watt-Cloutier offers a new model for 21st century leadership. She speaks with passion and urgency on the issues of today — the environment, the economy, foreign policy, global health, human rights and sustainability — not as separate concerns, but as an interconnected whole.
Cristina Gamboa, President & CEO, World Green Building Council. An influential and inspirational leader, Ms. Gamboa will cover the global actions and initiatives driving sustainable building. She will share insights on the WorldGBC’s Net Zero Buildings Commitment as it challenges companies, cities, states and regions to reach net zero operating emissions in their portfolios by 2030, and the global push for a net-zero carbon built environment by 2050.
Barbara Zvan, President & CEO, University Pension Plan. A member of the Government of Canada’s Expert Panel on Sustainable Finance and co-founder of the G7 Investment Leadership Network, Ms. Zvan is a leading voice on sustainable investing. She uses her global platform to leverage the financial sector to advance sustainability objectives and help mitigate climate risk, drive decarbonization and resolve pressing ESG challenges in the built environment.
