John Maniawski is an energy executive with 29 years of experience in strategic planning, business development, energy marketing, asset management, operations and engineering in the power generation, electric utilities and pipeline industries. John is the Senior Vice President, Business Development for Brookfield Renewable – Canada, where he is responsible for the strategic planning and business development of greenfield and acquisition renewable investment opportunities, as well energy marketing of the company’s 1766 MW hydro, wind and solar platform in Canada.
Prior to joining Brookfield Renewable in 2019, John led the strategic planning, origination and business development for Enbridge’s $4B and 2000 MW renewable energy platform in North America, and evaluation of corporate acquisition opportunities in renewables, gas-fired generation and transmission and distribution over the previous 10 years. John has held various leadership roles in business development, energy marketing, operations, asset management, project execution and engineering at ENMAX. John has a Master of Business Administration (University of Calgary), a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (University of Saskatchewan), and is a Professional Engineer in Alberta.
